Arrived very quickly & was very well packaged.
Very expensive but being an original Truma part you know it will fit perfectly.
Our heater is a Truma Ultraheat Rapid model in a 2004 Swift Challenger.
Usual symptoms:- electrics trip when heater is switched on. Usually caused when the water heater is switched on before filling or is drained before turning off. I think we may have inadvertently knocked the drain valve while reaching under the front bench seats for something so I have now fashioned a guard over the valve !!. Its a shame the drain valve doesn't have an electrical interlock that disconnects the heater when draining.
Fitting tip:- Unless you have clear access it is often easier to remove the heater from the van. This allows the fiddly casing to be removed to gain easier access. There are fold out sections on the casing but it would be very fiddly & depends on access around the heater. The two heating tubes on ours must have spread apart over time making removal very difficult. Even though there probably was room, removing the heater from the van made the job a lot easier. I had to squeeze the legs together as it was drawn out of the hole. Thankfully the new part went in without any issues. You will need some very small spanners or sockets to remove, I think there is are 5mm & 6mm nuts to remove. The part comes without an electrical connector so I had to chop the end off the old cable. I used Wago connectors to connect the three wires together. Now fixed !!

Bought to replace defunct water heater, The replacement Truma water heating element arrived promptly and well packaged.Once the outer grey heater cover was cut in way of the inlet/outlet pipes the element was simple to replace. Take care with small nuts on sensor.

Delivered promptly. Fitting instructions good. Easily fitted but purchasers should note that required electrical connections in the heater system may require removal and re-use of the terminal junction. Joins made should be soldered and properly insulated. Works OK.

Excellent price. 1st. class service. Need to follow instructions on fitting which do not come with the product. So use technical Toms, do not drop nuts just in case have a magnet handy on a piece of string. Use 20 amp choc block connector to reconnect wiring as product is not fitted with a push fit connector. Ring spanners don't work so you need 5.5 mm and 7 mm sockets for access. Easy enough job but don't rush it. I have been unable to test the system as I fitted this whilst the caravan was in storage.

Clearly the old element had failed when compared with the new one. This was delivered quickly and I was able to track delivery on the day.

Had to buy this to replace the one in our van that stopped working last year for some reason. That one in turn had only lasted for a year but that could have been down to it having been poorly fitted at an approved caravan maintenance centre (beyond the scope of this review)
It was a straightforward job to replace and comes with a new O-ring seal and 2 replacement nuts for the element.
I have 2 gripes - 1 minor and 1 major.
Minor gripe - new nuts for the thermostat aren't supplied which is a shame as they are very small and easy to lose.
Major gripe - its exorbitant, rip-off price! You can get 3 domestic heating elements for your hot water tank at home for the price of one of these (4 if you go to some sites who charge over £100 for one)

Good product, easy to fit but a b****r to find the exact location of (new nuts provided for the element but not for the thermostat so don't bin the old ones - element nuts 7mm; thermostat nuts 5.5mm). None of the published data shows the location of the electric heater element.
It's between the water connections btw and I had to take a Stanley knife to the casing to find it!
I needed a new one because the thermostat had failed even though the element and the overheat trip were still working but it would only reset once the whole heater had gone cold.

The immersion element in my Truma Ultrastore water heater developed an earth leakage fault which blew the tripswitch in my motorhome. I found a genuine Truma relacement at Leisureshopdirect, ordering was quite straightforward and delivery prompt. I replaced the part and it worked perfectly............Thanks very much, excellent service.
