I have recently bought an Abbey Freestyle 470. Having filled the truma water heater tank and followed the instructions, ensuring everything relevant is opened and closed. When attempting to draw hot water, nothing comes through the taps, but water pours the overflow. When drawing cold water (with tank full). Water comes out tap but also comes out overflow. Any ideas? Thanks

There is a check valve in the hot water outlet fitting on the water heater which has stuck open. You will need to replace the fitting. Our reference numbers are 233297 for flexible water hose or 236269 for push fit hose.

why is the water pressure dropped coming from my taps the water is going out the water heater overflow

The spring loaded valve in your water heater outlet is faulty and you will need to replace the outlet fitting, This will be our ref. 136269 or 133297.

tom , my water heater !! the overflow pipe keeps dripping !! so every 5_10 mins the pump kicks in and tops it up !! very annoying !

I have a compass avantgarde fitted with a truma ultrastore rapid, when I charge the cold water tank the entire contents syphons out via the breather tube on the hot water outlet elbow. The elbow fitted doesn't appear to have a integrated breather valve, is there a specific elbow part number you can give me so that I can order the item. I have a part number of 34020-63900 but I don't know if this elbow has the integrated valve.

Our ref. 136269 is probably the part you require if the pipework in the caravan is 12mm semi rigid. This part includes the valve that opens if excessive water pressure is sensed.

Leaky water heater. After much looking online I found out the leak was this silly elbow leaking. It’s job is simply to allow air into the heater when you want to drain it. (It needs air into it to help push it out) it’s secondary job is a pressure relief valve that in even of over pressure is to allow water out. (Apparently it also lets water out if you didn’t drain in winter but don’t quote me on that I’m not 100% sure just what I’ve seen) so I jump on the old World Wide Web and go to my favourite caravan spares shop, leisure shop direct and they stock them at a fair price. Order goes through new one arrives mint. Fit the part in a swift 2 seconds (not actually 2 seconds but it’s very very easy and straight forward no need for a caravan engineer or the like) fill up the old water heater and wait patiently to see if this one drips water out. Unfortunately for me it did :( why did I give it 5 stars then, well that’s because even new things sometime are faulty. However I questioned this myself and spent two days filling up and emptying the heater tank.no leaks anywhere so contacted LSD and with no question at all a replacement was sent. A return label sent and the new part fitted in a jiffy. And works spot on. No puddle of water under the van. No air in the taps everyone want to use them. The returns was so easy and probably the easier I’ve ever had to do so highly recommend the company and if you’ve got air in hot tap a lot and puddle under than van this is the part for your

Had water leak just as we were getting ready to go to Cornwall . Needed part urgently it was in stock dispatched and arrived within two days, saved us having no hot water in the caravan. This product was in fact an updated version as the one fitted to our caravan had both a 12mm and a 10mm push fit connector making difficult to replace with anything else the new part only has a 12mm connector, much easier to fit.

This fitting is not identical to that fitted to the boiler, although it may well fit. The existing one is a push-fit onto the boiler outlet,whereas this is not. In the event the part was not necessary as I fixed the existing one by freeing up the small spring ball, which was stuck.

My Truma Ultrastore hot water tank was leaking. After checking on the "web" I came across Leisureshop's technical page. Having found out what I needed to replace I ordered on Saturday, it was processed on Sunday and delivered on Tuesday. It could not be better!! The part was simple to fit and has solved the problem.

My pump kept cutting in briefly and then stopping - I did not realise that the spring loaded valve could be stuck. Fitted a new 136269 elbow fitting on the hot water outlet, and the problem is now solved.
