How it works
The Alde central heating system is a hydronic system, it works using the same heating principle as is found in most modern homes. The boiler heats up the glycol fluid using a gas burner or 230 V electric immersion elements.

Hot glycol water circulates around the campervan, through radiators and pipes by means of a pump. The radiators are placed along outer walls. When heated, hot air rises through the radiators. This creates a warm buffer, helping prevent cold walls and condensation over windows.

As the hot air cools, the density changes and the process begins again. Through this natural convection the whole interior of the campervan is warmed to an even temperature.

What is this suitable for?
This is designed for those building large van conversions using the Ford Transit, VW Crafter, MAN TGE, Mercedes Sprinter or Fiat Ducato models. It would not be suitable for small panel van conversions, as it requires a minimum amount of radiators to operate, and this minimum amount is too much kW output for a small van.
