Camping and Caravanning Club freeze prices

Posted by Freddy Morton

Caravan water heaters owners will be interested to hear that the Camping and Caravanning Club has frozen its 2011 site fee prices on all of its UK sites for the first time in ten years.

The site fees will remain the same but will increase slightly due to the increase in VAT from 17.5 per cent to 20 per cent due to come into effect in January 2011.

Robert Louden, director general of the Camping and Caravanning Club, said: "Our decision not to increase pitch fee prices, apart from the mandatory VAT rise, is a way of saying thank you to our members who have helped continue to thrust The Club to the forefront of the outdoor market."

He added that the decision will hopefully demonstrate to members that the Club is committed to remaining extremely competitive when it comes to pricing structure.

Caravan water heaters owners looking to get away this Christmas will be delighted to hear that the Camping and Caravanning Club recently confirmed that 24 of its sites will remain open over the winter period.
