Nice has "a lot of possibilities"

Posted by Linda Davidson

Tourists with items for your camper van travelling to the south of France will discover than Nice has "a lot of possibilities", according to the city's promotional body.

Jessika Bettan, marketing attache at the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Nice, said that Nice's unique positioning between the sea and mountains gives the area a micro climate which ensures it gets around 300 days of sunshine a year.

"So it makes Nice a destination that is attractive all year long, so not only during the summer," she said.

Ms Bettan said that the city boasts a collection of art and culture - second in France only to Paris - as well as a plethora of museums which are all free of charge except the Chagall museum.

"Then they can do activities on the water – sailing, boat tour – and in the mountains – canyoning. So it's a destination with a lot of possibilities," she added.

Research by the Cooperative Travel recently revealed that France is the most popular tourist destination for Brits.
