We like to travel with a spare toilet cassette in our motorhome. Just as well as when wintering in Spain earlier this year the original cassette, which was 5 years old broke. The cassette purchased from Leisureshop Direct is competively priced and arrived surprisingly quickly considering the challenging times we find ourselves in. Well done Leisureshop!

Anyone who has bought a preowned caravan motorhome or campervan does wonder who has used the toilet.
To alleviate this concern Thetford has a service to replace the toilet seat and the waste tank, at a reasonable price, to give you peace of mind. It is well worth considering and keeps the peace in the family

... if there are more than two worn out parts on your cassette. It's a more economic way of repairing a faulty toilet as if you have to buy a blade unit and the seals, there is very little difference in price and you just plug it in. I did look at repairing our cassette which is 4 years old, but as 2 parts needed replacing, at a cost of around £85, plus the work involved in reassembling the cassette made the job not worth while. I had already spent a lot of time cleaning the cassette, plus cleaner, so you could argue the repair would have cost more.
Save yourself the hassle of cleaning it and take off the wheels, blade cover and cap/measure as spares.

The cassette in our Motorhome was looking a little tired and the seals starting to weep, looked at new seals, but saw this pack at a reasonable price and opted for this instead. Took longer to arrive than expected but once received the new seat and cassette was easily installed into my 260 version, them 250 versions need a little more effort but I don’t expect any difficulties. The dosing tablets are an added bonus.

Our old cassette had developed leaks around the vent plunger and blade opener but the "removable" mechanism cover wouldn't budge so the seals couldn't be replaced. Also the seal to the sliding cover was no longer a tight fit. Overall the Fresh-Up kit was little more expensive than buying new seals etc. The instructions for replacing the bracket were inadequate but Thetford responded quickly by emailing revised instructions. Really happy with the shiny new leak-free toilet and cassette.

Great service- delivered ahead of specified date.
This toilet fresh up set for my C250 toilet is almost perfect. A good price, with chemicals as an added bonus. The one negative comment is about the seat. On my original 2010 version the seat, seat cover and rear hinge box are very quick and easy to remove for cleaning. The new seat hinge assembly is different and not as easy to remove for cleaning. In fact, having struggled to fit the seat for a few minutes, I decided to keep the original. I don't want what felt like a wrestling match each time I remove the seat.

Bargain If You Need A Spare Cassette

I have a C250 toilet in my narrowboat. Unlike caravanning, disposal points are less frequent and narrowboaters tend to carry spare cassettes. So, I wanted 2 more cassettes. Now here's the odd thing, if you can get the fresh-up lit which has a cassette, a lid and some chemicals with it is cheaper than buying a cassette on its own. So my new C250 loo has two spare lids now as well as the cassettes I wanted!! I seem to think, however, that the fresh-up kits are not regularly available unlike the cassette on its own.

Excellent value and from ordering to delivery 25hrs. Our cassette broke with the blade and mechanism disintigrating. This kit came with new loo set and set of tank cleaner and bathroom cleaner at £20 less than I was quoted just for cassette alone.
