Good morning, I have a 2011 Audi Q7 fitted with a 13-pin trailer outlet. My caravan has a 7-pin plug on it. I bought a 13-pin to 7-pin adaptor off of Ebay and it fits fine but only works with a trailer not my caravan. On the caravan all that works are the brake lights and the left and right indicators which means the driving lights and the brakes don't operate. Is your 13-pin to 7-pin adaptor going to work or do you have another product that could help me? Do you have a 13-pin plug i could fit to my caravan? if so, is there another adaptor to go with this to be able to tow on a vehicle with a 7-pin outlet? Regards, Craig.
It is confusing that the adaptor that you have purchased works OK with a trailer and not with your caravan. There may be a problem with the caravan wiring. There is no reason why our 13 pin to 7pin adaptor should not work with both a trailer and caravan.
13 pin plug, our ref 128362 is available ex stock complete with wiring diagram. The adaptor to convert to a 7 pin socket on a towing vehicle is our part 131281. I hope this helps.

Having broken down in France, Europe Assist Breakdown Insurance (now Aria) got a taxi to tow my caravan to a campsite. The taxi had 7 pin electrics when it turned up and caravan has 13 pin so he couldnot tow me. Had to wait along time for another vehicle. Thought I would carry my own adaptor when we go again to France! I definitely will not be insured by Aria Insurance again!

This was a nice simple bit of kit, which did exactly the job I was looking for. A simple push-fit connection from the 13 pin caravan plug, straight to the 7 pin on the towing vehicle. The 7 pin to 13 pin adaptor was just what was needed to get me out of trouble for an initial tow to a new site while I waited to have my car fitted with a tow bar (a friend did this first move for me). No problems at all - with all lights and indicators working as they should be. Plus - the speed of service from Leisureshop Direct was excellent. It arrived within 2 days of placing the order.
