Bought this as had new tv for campervan over 18 months ago and previous Avtex STH3000 wouldn’t work. Found out that with new digital TVs I needed this one. I have purchased numerous other makes in the meantime without any success. Have tried in the house and works fine so will wait and see if it works on site....

I enjoy watching tv when we arrive on a motorhome site and tune the tv sometimes we get very few tv programs with bad reception the Avtex arial in Comparison to the motorhome arial is a lot better I would recommend the Avtex

Bought in conjunction with Avtex tv, worked great stuck on the outside of my campervan around Scotland, Orkney and the Shetland Isles in all weathers, consistently 160+ channels. I'd advise putting a bit of clear waterproof sealant over the joints as I'm not convinced it will keep the rain out over time.

We bought this antenna to use in our motorhome as we were frustrated with the very poor performance of the fixed antenna. As we have an Avtex TV we decided to try this product as it can be powered directly from the TV, without the need to use an additional supply. You simply need to go in to the settings on the TV and select the option to power an antenna.
The very first time we used it the TV found 45 channels, compared with none using the fixed antenna. As we are in a motorhome it is not easy to locate the aerial outside, so I simply used the suction cup to attach it to the drivers door window. We later found out it works just as well simply resting it on a shelf. Yes, we do need to pack it away each time we move the van, but the performance is well worth the two minutes spent doing this. We found that you need to try the antenna in either the vertical or horizontal position to ascertain which provides the strongest signal.
Having just spent three weeks touring the highlands of Scotland we were extremely impressed at how often we were able to watch digital TV; much better than we had expected.
I am very happy to recommend this product, although caveat that we use it with an Avtex TV. Very good value for money.

Happily surprised at how useful this is. Perfect for my camper van and although only used at home and 2 other locations, so far so good. If suction gets warm it will drop but most tend to.

I live in a poor signal area and have only tried it within the motorhome locally as yet but it preforms very well always a bit of a faff connecting these things but works very well

Great product. Works really well on our buccaneer caravan. We couldn't get a TV signal on the manufacturer installed antenna so after reading reviews we thought we'd give the avtex a trial. Didn't expect too much as a lot cheaper than some other antennas. We are delighted with the results. Tried it straight away and hurrah we now have TV channels. Really pleased and impressed.

Does the job perfectly. First time i tried it was in my motorhome which was in my driveway, surrounded by trees and houses. It worked immediately giving me 48 channels on my Avtex TV.

Very stylish, being used in a bedroom on an Avtex power output tv. Difficult to keep tuned in at first. It fell on the bedroom floor, and picked up our downstairs tv through the ceiling. Perfect reception, I'll let you explain that!

Excellent works really well I can now pick up 48 channels from this aerial which is so easy and simple to set up from inside my campervan. No more assembling poles etc for not such good reception from an aerial outside the van! Brilliant highly recommend.

What a fantastic aerial over 100 channels 1st time out. We have always had a caravan with built in aerial , but now having our VW T5 we needed an aerial to work with our Avtex TV. Even though the booster which comes with it allows to work on other makes if TV also. Did try others before this but no such luck.

We are very pleased with this Avtex STH 3000 it's well made, it arrived the next day as promised, it came in its own box ?, no extra box around it with Amazon all over it, a little bit of a shock but the box was intact, so happy days, we have tried it out working wonderful, we will fine out more when we Holiday in Wales and places the signal isnt to good, we are near trees at the moment and working fine, we were recommended to buy this Ariel by a fellow camper, I'm pleased we did, we have a 6 to 8ft + pole which we have attached it to, then into the ground, we have managed to attach it to our pennine folding camper

Tried 2 cheaper aerials on my camper van. Neither worked and they got sent back. This one works well, probably due to the powered booster. HOWEVER the booster is powered by a cigarette lighter plug. Arrgh! Why??? I want to power it by my leisure battery, the same as my inverter. I had to buy a female adapter for another ten quid. One star deducted for that.

Extremely good quality and excellent signal on my Avtex 32" tv. The Avtex tv powers the arial, just make sure yoj turn the power on in your tv settings. Can be a pain to tune if you are in the middle of nowhere. I point the arial in a direction then auto tune the tv. If only a few channels are showing after tuning. Pick the worst picture and rotate the arial untill you get the best picture and then retune the tv. Never fails. If in a built up area just look to where the house arials are pointing and tune your tv. The sucker is very strong and stable and doesnt allow rhe arial to move easily.

I bought this aerial for my motorhome as the onboard aerial is poor. It takes a while to figure out the best position for this aerial but once in position it gives a very strong signal and I am very pleased with the product. It would be nice if a wireless version could be developed in the future as the trailing wires are a bit annoying but overall it is a good product.

The Avtex stick aerial fitted to our caravan is useless even using a booster. Reading reviews I decided to give the STH 3000 a try. Delivered next day and assembled in minutes. Powered through the coax cable into our Avtex tv, it picked up 96 channels, even with the aerial not directly facing the nearest transmitter on the Isle of Wight, all brilliant picture quality. A great stand by aerial to use when we are not on Caravan Club sites which usually have a tv booster connection. Best buy.

Great aerial for a boat. Couldn't use the suction mount on a round mast so hauled it up the mast on a boat which worked very well. Because it's being used with an Avtex 16 inch TV the aerial does not need a separate power supply. The Avtex TV supplies the power through the coax cable. Not sure if other tvs do the same.

Excellent product. I receive more channels via this aerial than I get on our main aerial on the house. This aerial is installed indoors. It gives an excellent picture even if I move it slightly from the setup point . This aerial arrived before date given and is as described.

I have just gone off grid, in the middle of a Forrest....so, didn't think I would receive anything ..I didn't get anything here with a normal aerial. But this one has done the business. The sucky window attachment works perfectly. I was a bit worried, since this aerial is. 20 dB gain...when I was not off grid, I had a massive 40 dB gain to get all preview channel's....but this one works.

I'm pretty chuffed with this. When testing where I live I got reception pretty much as good as that off the house aerial. Even in poor reception areas I've managed to get about 20 channels. Could do without the shopping channels though......

Very good reception if you remember to switch antenna power on via TVs menu. Very directional, has to be rotated when switching from bbc transmitter to itv. Suction pad not so good (hence 4 stars), let's go after an hour or so or if temperature drops at night. Lives upright on a flat surface because no place to permanently mount on a sailing boat.

I purchased this as my satelite system on my motorhome had to be removed and sent back to the manufacturer and didn't want to be without tv over the Easter period. It arrived very quickly and I placed it on my motorhome roof outside my house. The signal where I live is quite poor but the Avtex aerial worked perfectly with my Avtex tv.

I think some reviewers have unrealistic expectations of this aerial. My experience is that it works really well and will usually get me a good signal just stuck on the outside of the motorhome window. It is an "active" aerial, which means that you have to either use the supplied mains adapter, or have a TV which will supply the voltage required via the antenna cable (such as an Avtex). It helps to have a smartphone app which will tell you the direction of the strongest TV transmitter to enable you to put the aerial on the correct side of your vehicle (if you aren't mounting it up on the roof). Bear in mind that this performs very well for a small, portable aerial. Don't expect it to perform like a 72 element beam and don't expect it to get you a signal in the middle of the Brecon Beacons.

Seems an excellent bit of kit .. easy to set up and assemble, and very effective. One bit of useful installation advice would be to know which way round it should go - I was guessing that the two loops should face the transmitter direction, which seemed to work, but confirmation would be good.
The suction fitting is particularly good for motorhome use, attached to a window.
