Useful Replacement For Foreign Vehicles

by John Diggles (12 Nov 2016)
4 star review(4/5)
This GOK 50mbar regulator was bought to replace a faulty one on my elderly Hymer motorhome. Being a German motorhome, all the gas appliances are designed to operate at 50mbar rather than 30. This device took a little longer to arrive than anticipated due to a lack of stock, which probably indicates its popularity.

Old School Hymer Requirement

by Mr H (13 May 2016)
5 star review(5/5)
Our 24 yr old Hymer was originally specced out with 50mbar appliances but somewhere over time it had a 30mbar one fitted. This GOK 50mbar regulator replaced the old and what a difference it has made to the stove operation alone: kettle boils faster - flames have more gusto and don't blow out when on low. I'm sure the other appliances are operating better too. The following specs are direct from GOK by quoting the model number shown on the photo: The technical specification of this regulator A-01-2231299-1 is as follows: Type: EN 61 Flow (capacity): 1.5 kg/h Pressure stage: PS 16 bar Inlet pressure: 1-16 bar Outlet pressure: 50 mbar Inlet connector: M20x150 Outlet connector: compression fitting 10 mm Integrated safety device: pressure relief valve PRV

Running A German Caravan From UK Gas Bottles

by Mr Leatherdale (05 Dec 2012)
3 star review(3/5)
I bought this because theTruma 3002 heater in my 1991 Knaus caravan which came from Germany did not burn steadily on high settings. I noticed that the heater data plate specified a 50mbar supply which it was not getting from the regulators on my UK gas bottles. I thought this regulator might solve the problem but it can not be fitted directly to a UK bottle. I solved the heater problem by fitting 30mbar jets in it and now it runs well. The fridge and gas hobs seem less affected by the lower pressure anyway.
