Bought to replace faulty hose purchased only a couple of years ago - hoping this will last longer! Only used a couple of times so far and seems to be better than the last one (different manufacturer and supplier)

The hose took forever to arrive, so much so that we missed using it for two trips in our campervan. Now that it has arrived I am glad that I didn't cancel the order. This is better than any of the food-grade hoses we have used in the past. The roller device to tidy it away is much better than any previous models that we have tried.

Hose and reel are very good quality. Reel works surprisingly well at rolling/unrolling the hose (which often they don't). The only thing to understand is that due to using 3 small diameter tubes (so that its flat) the flow/pressure is quite poor (certainly when compared to a normal diameter hose). Its fine when filling up water tanks for MoHo as it just takes longer but you certainly would not want to wash a car with it for example.

Fed up with hose pipes etc in the Motorhome decided on this I have used 3 times now and yes it is slower to fill up the tank but it is so much better in storage easy winds up takes seconds to get out and put away.

So glad I bought this hose. It’s best feature is the fact the hose doesn’t have to be fully unwound in order for the water to flow properly. I use it for filling my fresh water tank on my Motorhome so it was a good selling point for me. The reel is a little flimsy but as you don’t have to unwind it all the way it’s not an issue for me.

At last a roll up hose which works well and hopefully won’t crack because it keeps its form on the roll. The only downside is that it’s not very long but you could always buy two...

Food Standard Hose For Use With Motorhome

This Bruner hose reel with new flat hose is sturdy yet lightweight and easy to use. We needed a food standard hose for filling the water tank in our motorhome and this one does the job. The only issue I can see is that the water stays in the hose; I've not found a way to drain it, but I guess as long as I run fresh water through it each time before using then it should be ok. The hose comes with a spray nozzle attachment which I don't use. I just bought a separate hose end so I can put it in the water tank. It's a bit bulky to store compared to expandable hoses but we just put it in our shower cubicle when not using it.

Brunner hose reel bought for motorhome, not used yet but seems a lot better product than its predecessor, hence, don’t have to unwind fully to use. Hose material seems hard so will have to see how long that lasts when weathered.

Hose is good, connections appear to be compatible with Hoselock, carrier seems a bit flimsy, will know better when the I start caravanning again. Compact for storage and relatively light.

I'd prefer a slightly less brittle feel to the reel, but they are all like that. My last one was the same and never broke, so it must be me!
This Brunner Hose Reel with flat hose is easy to wind back up unlike some of them. Decent pressure delivery, and appears to be good quality.
I have to run the hose through my house to water my garden, and this makes the job easy.
I'd prefer one of the end fittings to have a stop valve in it, ideally a tap so I can adjust the pressure

This item was bought for our motorhome as it takes up less space and is easy to use without tangles or kinks. It would have received a 5 star rating had the nozzle been a non-return valve as you have to risk the splashes when removing it from the plug in the filling point on the van or the tap at the other end.

Does what it says on the tin! Its big advantage is that you only need to unroll the required length, not the whole thing, which means you don't have piles of unnecessary hose looping around your feet. The downside is that, as other reviewers have mentioned, its flow rate is quite slow - it took me 27 minutes to fill a 90L tank from empty so you won't be popular with queuing motorhomers at the single on-site MoHo service point...! It would also be improved if at least one of the supplied couplings was a 'stop' one which stops the water flow when uncoupled. True, you can add this yourself but to my mind its an obvious omission.

Better than I thought. As others have said, there is no need to unwind the hose fully to use it as it has three channels for the water to travel through. The winding handle is a bit flimsy but it works

Well! What can one say about a hose! Fantastic seems a bit OTT but this little beauty is brilliant! We bought it for use in the motorhome as we were fed up of having to coil up the old one and try and keep the kinks out of the blessed thing!
I spent hours researching and reading reviews of different types of hoses and googled for days finding the best thing for our needs and this little baby came up trumps.
Took this on our European Tour this summer and it performed just as it should. Yes the flow may be reduced with the design of 3 small tubes but not to the degree that it caused a problem. Reduced flow may be a bit of an exaggeration so maybe not quite as fast would be more accurate. Source water pressure plays a big part in how fast the water is delivered. The 'not quite as fast flow' pales into insignificance once you realise the ease of use and lack of space taken up in the wet locker.
The only criticism I have is the 'tap end' spinning round when rolling the used hose back onto the reel. Water residue splashes everywhere!
Would I buy again? For sure this is the best hose for the motorhomers and caravanners out there.

Bought to replace a similar hose I got ten years ago, to fill the water tank on my narrowboat. Like that hose, this has the advantage of compactness, and its multi-channel construction allows you to unreel only what you need and it will still work. The plastic is a bit stinky, but I'm sure that will pass, and the reel is loose enough that the click-out winder handle seems adequate. Here's to the next ten years.

Got this a few months ago just incase I needed a longer run of hose for caravan; some fully serviced pitches do require this length. Used it last weekend...perfect. Rolls on and off the wheel no problem. No need to try and empty hose of water. Wheel did seem flimsy at first use...but it does the job perfectly.
Good quality food grade hose is not cheap, you get what you pay for. Have bought food quality hose by the metre and it springs a leak the first time you use it; if not immediately, then around 0300hrs!!!
The 9m length I got as part of the float value kit is still going strong. I thought this kit was expensive at the time....but it is the hose you are paying for.

As previously mentioned on other reviews it is a bit slow due to the hose being three thin bore pipes attached together laterally. This however does make the hose retract easily onto the reel. Also allows you to use the hose without fully extending. The reel could be a bit stronger, however with careful use it should be ok.

I have to say this product is the best thing ever, yes it takes longer to fill up, but it can be wound up in seconds (unlike the true flat hoses that really try your patience). So it’s a flat hose that isn’t in that it acts as a flat hose, but doesn’t have to be fully unwound to work. I have a camper and use up to 3 of these to reach the water selecting a quiet time to “plug in” and fill up the tank. As to water remaining in the hose leave about 2 or so feet unwound, hold the cassette horizontally and the pipes will self drain then store it vertically – no problems!

Read all the reviews for this hose as I needed a replacement hose for my camper van as the cloth hose gave up after very little use. This arrived well before the stated date, excellent quality, price and delivery time. Very impressed. As for size its exactly as stated on the product info and no bigger than my 25m electricity cable - really pleased.

excellent piece of kit does what it says on the label, the carrier seems a bit flimsy but it does the job, the only problem encountered was the stiffness of the actual hose, when completely unrolled it tended to coil which made it a bit awkward to rewind but that may resolve itself with use, the big advantage is in not having to unwind it completely every time as the rigid construction of the hose allows water to pass through while still on the carrier

It was somewhat bigger on the roll than I thought as it isn't the normal flat hose which rewinds flat. If you want a hose that occupies the minimum space then buy one of those not this.
However, if you want a hose which is quite a lot smaller than its normal equivalent and can be used while still on the reel then this may be the answer.
Don't forget that it will be hard to clear all the water out if it has been used wound up - getting a connector to attach it to another hoselock-type end and clipping the two ends together is one solution.
The reel seems a little flimsy but I like this product and am glad I bought it.

This is a thousand times better than the old fabric style flat hose, and works as well on the reel as off it. My only criticism is that because the hose is full of water after you've used it on the reel, you need to cap both ends with a blanking plug to stop the water slowly dribbling out when you put it away in the back of your van. I've made my own using Hozelok threaded tap connectors that I've filled with Araldite. Obviously one end can be sealed by leaving the included spray nozzle on if you like, but for motorhome use you tend not to need the nozzle so a blanking plug is a more neat solution. Either way, the hose itself is a great product and the reel is adequate as long as you treat it with some common sense.

This hose is fantastic. It works without fully extending the hose and means we were able to reach a tap from the pitch without moving. We had to adapt the end that goes into the motorhome tank because it has a tap fix on it so we just pushed a small piece of hose into that end. The carrier is strong and dosn't look like it will snap or crack.

It will be very useful only having to unroll enough to reach the motorhome from a tap and the hose looks strong. The reel could be sturdier though. The hose is stiff plastic and escapes from the sides of the reel instead of winding in or out smoothly. Probably good value for the money though, as it seems better than the cheap green ones and is less expensive than many of the better ones.

This 15mtr layflat hose is ideal for caravaners who want to use Fully serviced pitches. The hose doesn't need to be fully extended to use, you just use as much as required from the tap to the aquaroll, as water will flow through the hose whils't still in the carrier.

Innovative solution to the old problem of roll flat hose. No need to roll out the complete hose but just a much as you need. No swivel joint on the reel so no leaks which is important if using with the Aquaroll ball valve and the water is left turned on.
