What is a Floe Draindown Kit?


Damage to water systems not drained down properly has always been a problem for caravanners, and short of removing taps and water heaters,
there is not much you can do when it is really cold. Floe allows you to remove more water once your system has been drained manually, minimising frost damage and bacterial growth.

Inbetween seasons, water can find little corners and connections to stay in and this is generally where, when it freezes, damage is caused. Or worse, when the weather gets hot, you get bacterial growth.

Taking just seconds to 'plug in' and set up, the floë system is a simple way to drain down your touring caravan, making way for beautifully fresh drinking water, or in preparation for winter frosts. It will blow the water out of your taps and fittings effortlessly - the results can be quite frightening when you see what comes out! An included instructional DVD shows you how to use the kit.

A few minutes spent draining down your van will give you the peace of mind that your caravan is protected, whatever the season.

If you have a touring caravan with a Whale plug and socket to bring water onboard, then this is the combo kit for your needs.

Floë has been tested and scientifically proven by the University of Ulster, to remove more than 99.9% of any stale water, bacteria or biofilm, leaving your system fresh and empty for every trip. (see Fresh Water Floë). It has also been proven in winter frosts, to protect the intricate components of your water system such as your pump, water filter, shower and plastic taps. With its patented technology, Floë simply fits to this Whale branded adapter. The adapter fits snugly into the side of the van and with the help of a foot pump or 12 volt tyre compressor, you will be able to purge water out of each tap and fitting, thereby knowing your system is empty.

Minutes draining down your caravan will give you peace of mind that it is protected whatever the season. All kits come with full instructions and instructional DVDs.

ADDED BONUS 1 – Use Floë to drain garden hoses and powerhoses etc for winter.

ADDED BONUS 2 – If you have a gas boiler with mains water throughout your house, you can use Floë to clean out the internal heat exchanger. There is no technical experience necessary and your boiler will be cleaned as part of a normal draindown

This will extend the life of the heat exchanger (which can cost £700-£1,500 and will eventually fail in time) and allow you turn your hot water thermostat down, which in turn will save you up to a huge 20% on your gas bill. After draining down, turn the mains water back on and run the hot taps. Brown dirty water that was clogging up your system, will be pushed out of the taps until it runs clear.

ATTENTION
Please do not pressurise system to more than 15PSI and always read instructions thoroughly before use.

This product may not be suitable for caravans with onboard fresh water tanks. If a tank is present, make sure that there is a manual or electric diversion, that allows water to be drawn directly from the outside water barrel, straight to the taps. Tanks contain air vents that will leak air pressure. In this event, please use the Floë Caravan & Camper Drainage Kit

I had a 12v car tyre inflator already so the product was easy to use. Just plugged the floe into the normal water connection point, connected the tyre inflator, set to 15psi and then pressed go. Once the pressure is reached open one of the taps and water gushes out. Did all taps, shower and water tank, was really surprised how much water came out.
