Hi Tom, i have a 2010 elddis crusader tornado with a built in water tank. I normally use an aquaroll and drop the filter/pipe into it and the pump will either fill the on board tank or supply taps. Can i use a direct mains water hook up instead of using the aquaroll. thanks james
Yes you can providing the supply from the mains is fitted with a reducing valve such as the Whale Aquasource. You would make sure that you by-pass the inboard tank.
Hi, can I connect mains water direct to my caravan? Do I need a pressure reducer? or can I connect direct?
You cannot connect mains water directly to your caravan as the internal piping is unsuitable. You will need a pressure reducer giving a maximum output of 30 psi (2 bar).
Truma supply the Waterlines - part 129440 for the Ultraflow inlet and 130483 for the Crystal Mk 2 inlet. Whale also do the Aquasource for the Whale Watermaster inlet and this is our ref. 127867. We also supply the reducing valve as a separate part, our ref. 137879.
Hi Tom. Can you tell me if I can run my water direct to my caravan instead of using and aqua roll and whale water pump and will it increase the water pressure?
The Whale Aquasource is designed for this application and it includes a pressure reducing valve to prevent 'mains water pressure' entering the caravan. Our reference number for this item is 127867.

Yes, you can do this using Aquasource Water supply unit, our part 127867. You may wish to bypass your water pump to avoid any restriction when hooked up to the mains supply but you will need two stop cocks and extra piping to do this. However the system should work fine by passing the water through the water pump which of course should be isolated electrically through the 'pump' switch

Been using these for quite a few years now since the flat food grade first came out. I wouldn't use anything else now. Top quality. Always keep a spare after getting caught out in France when I accidentally ran over one and broke the caravan end. Forgiveness came at a price as my wife had to revert to the Aquaroll (fortunately with a pump).
