Camping and Caravanning Club purchases Star caravan park

Posted by Freddy Morton

Caravan taps owners looking to take a break in Staffordshire, the Peak District and Derbyshire will be able to visit the newest Camping and Caravanning Club site.

The firm has strengthened its presence in the area with the purchase of the popular Star Caravan & Camping site in Cotton for an undisclosed fee.

Boasting 195 pitches across two large fields with a play area and two toilet blocks, the park is ideally situated just over a mile away from Alton Towers theme park.

Bob Hill, sites director, said he was delighted that the club has been able to acquire such a sought-after site within the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands and within easy reach of Alton Towers, the most visited theme park in the UK.

"We now look forward to working with the local community to create an environment which enables tourism to continue to flourish," he added.

The new Camping and Caravanning Club site will open in March.
