In 1957 a man called Soren Odgaard decided he really wanted a tent but was unable to find anything near what he wanted so he decided to make his own at home! He soon realised that there would be many others who felt the same enthusiasm for the outdoors and camping as he did. So Soren Odgaard started making and renting tents to these people who dreamed of adventurous holidays. This is how the company Isabella was established. In 1960 he moved to a factory and within a year Isabella had grown so much it needed to move to even bigger premises.
