John Roser, director of Snettisham Caravan Park, has criticised an application to the parish council to register a path on part of Snettisham Beach.

He told the Lynn News that as the proposed public path is no more than 2m from people's caravans it could breach privacy, lower the value of the holiday retreats and even pose a threat to the safety of children at the park.

"The owners come down here because it is a safe area and they don’t want a public right of way through the park," Mr Roser told the source.

He explained that the footpath was on private land and has been used as a children's play area since the 1960s.

However, parish council chairman Eric Langford said that it has been a recognised footpath for years and added that it was common land.

Meanwhile, a caravan club in Forfar has been approached by locals to help pay for a new play park for children, the Forfar Dispatch reported.
