Cycle and walk for charity in Scotland

Posted by Greg Throughton

Caravan taps owners looking for an active caravan holiday may wish to take a trip to Scotland to take part in the Maggie's Monster Bike and Hike fundraiser.

This year's event will begin on April 30th and continue into May 1st.

Those participating in the 24-hour event will cycle 30 miles from Fort William before strapping on their walking boots and heading to one of three finishes in Inverness.

Bronze, silver and gold finishes have been set up for walkers of varying abilities along the Great Glen Way to ensure all can take part and raise money for the cancer charity.

Teams of men, women, colleagues, friends and families are all invited to take part and must contain a minimum of two members and a maximum of six; all participants must be over 18 years of age.??

Monster 2010 saw a record number of participants take to the route, with almost 1,000 people biking and hiking to raise funds for those affected by cancer, raising an amazing £600,000.
