Freemasons award £1,000 to Lincolnshire caravan site

Posted by Greg Throughton

Caravan owners with a 12v television may be interested to hear that a Freemasons group in Lincolnshire has awarded a local caravan park with £1,000 to help fund refurbishment of the site's shower facilities.

Jubilee Park in Woodhall Spa was given the donation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lincolnshire in a gesture to boost the popularity of the park and generate more business during peak seasons.

Joe Stanhope, from the Friends of Jubilee Park, said: "The money will enable us to increase the standard of the facilities.

"This year the caravan site has been very popular, we are aware that the facilities are in need of updating."

To date, the Freemasons Benevolent Fund has given away almost £60,000 in grants this year to help the revival of communities.

Furthermore, the Freemasons run the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution to give money to help care for the elderly. It has been supporting care facilities financially for 160 years.
