June and July 'perfect for Pembrokeshire'

Posted by Greg Throughton

June and July are the best months to visit Pembrokeshire, owners of home-from-home apparatus and accessories have been told by a spokeswoman for the county council.

Kate Morgan, food officer at Pembrokeshire County Council and organiser of Pembrokeshire Fish Week, said that those who are flexible with their dates should aim for either of the summer months, before the main visitor season starts.

She explained that the warm weather at this time of year creates beautiful views of lush green pastures and colourful hedgerows, while providing the perfect conditions to explore the miles of coastal pathway and national parks.

"Pembrokeshire is such a family friendly county, a secret Cornwall, with over 32 Seaside Awards and boasting the 13 Blue Flag awards, the most of any other local authority in Wales," Ms Morgan added.

A recent poll by the Travelodge revealed that over a third of Britons will only be taking holidays within the UK this year, with the average Brit planning three short breaks.
