People with accessories and appliances for your van like 12v televisions may be relieved to hear that the caravan and motorhome park industry is doing well despite the difficult economic conditions prevalent in the UK.
Adam Burkinshaw of chartered surveyor Sanderson Weatherall, writing in the Journal, revealed that despite negative predictions the market remained positive in 2011.
Two recent sales, of Riverside Holiday Park in Wooler and River View Caravan Park in Barnard Castle, are indicative of the fact that there is still life in the industry.
"The caravan and holiday park sector has maintained a reputation for being an attractive option during recessionary periods," said Mr Burkinshaw.
He added that investors could be attracted to the sector for this reason, ensuring caravanners are offered a great deal of variety over the next few years.
Recently, a park in Northampton offered a unique selling point to potential visitors through its use of environmentally friendly materials to provide a green experience to visitors, reported the Northumberland Gazette.
