New Lunar caravans impress at show

Posted by Linda Davidson

People with motorhomes and camper-van devices like a 12V TV who are considering upgrading to a newer model may be intrigued by the success Lunar's new portfolio recently enjoyed at the Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show in London.

Their lightweight models performed especially well, with consumers arguably influenced by the prospect of saving on fuel in the current economic environment.

Lunar achieved total retail sales of £2.4 million, with new brand Venus accounting for 12.4 per cent of caravans bought.

Martin Henderson, sales and marketing director for Lunar, said: "In addition to the success of Venus, we are delighted with sales of the company's ranges and models, which achieved 15 per cent of touring caravan sales at the show."

He added that an ongoing road show will allow customers to see the Venus model for themselves.

Lunar has placed an increasing focus on developing lightweight, green caravans over recent years, focusing on generating energy saving features across the vehicle.
