Scotland a hit for Halloween

Caravan taps owners looking for some spooky Halloween festivities should look no further than Scotland's renowned haunted sites, according to the Caravan Club.


There is a great deal on offer in Scotland over the Halloween weekend for caravan taps owners.


On October 30th the Scottish Mask & Puppet Centre is inviting young and old to try their hand at making some Halloween puppets and other crafts.


For those in search of some history this Halloween, Glamis Castle will be opening its doors to visitors, with professional storytellers on hand in its 16th century kitchens to entertain visitors.


Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, is well known for its paranormal activity and Halloween is the ideal time to embark on one of the city's famous ghost walks.


Visitors can take a guided tour of the Real Mary King's Close, vaults underneath the city's Royal Mile which are said to be one of Edinburgh's most haunted sites.


For those looking to take a holiday in England over Halloween, English Heritage recently released its list of the top haunted sites in the UK, including Pendennis Castle in Cornwall, Kent's Dover Castle and Whitby Abbey, North Yorkshire.
