Static caravan sold for £550,000

Posted by Greg Throughton

A static caravan in Wales has been sold for the princely sum of £550,000, according to BBC North West Wales.

The caravan, which has a beach front pitch at The Warren, an exclusive seaside resort in Abersoch, has been described as the country's most expensive seasonal pitch.

Caravan water heater owners looking to spend £550,000 on a static caravan will experience the benefits of underfloor heating and reflective double glazing which keeps heat in during the winter and out during the summer.

The static caravan comes with a 20-year lease and the new owner, who remains anonymous, will be able to take advantage of the unobstructed coastal views and private beach at the holiday park which is favoured by soap stars and footballers.

Jim Gandon, sales and marketing director of the Haulfryn Group, told the BBC: "We don't shy away from the fact it's a static caravan. That's the heritage of the holiday park. The great British holiday has evolved and we should embrace that."

The Warren has 70 properties on the sea front and more will be coming up for sale in the near future.
