The UK has a lot to offer families this summer

Posted by Greg Throughton

Families trying to decide where to go on holiday with their devices for your caravan this summer have been advised that there are great places all across the UK.

Yolanda Copes-Stepney, PR manager for VisitEngland, said that there are loads of hidden gems, plenty of free attractions and great things to do on a budget.

She said that Weymouth in Dorset, Leicestershire, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads and the New Forest are all ideal destinations.

However, for those who are keen to stay closer to home she advised parent to "check out your local authority website for summer schemes".

"The good thing about summer schemes is [that] they are funded by the council partially, so they are mindful of the fact that people are on a budget," she added.

Many activities for children held over the summer are on between school hours in order to give kids some kind of routine.

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for VisitLiverpool.com, said that people should visit the city to gain insight into Beatle-mania.
