Wichcomes is 'ideal' for caravanning race goers

Dometic caravan rooflights owners planning a day at the races during the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival have been urged to stay at one of the Camping and Caravanning Club's sites.

The club's Winchcombe site is just 20 minutes away from the famous racecourse and is home to 96 camping and caravanning pitches.

Mike Nicholas, a spokesman for the Camping and Caravanning Club, said: "Winchcombe is in a great area for exploration, and the Gold Cup is one of many activities you can enjoy during your stay."

The 2011 festival will take place from March 15th to 18th, with Ladies Day, St Patrcik's Day and the Gold Cup Day, offering something for all the family to enjoy.

This year's festival is the 100th running of the event so Dometic caravan rooflights owners looking to secure a place at the popular Winchcombe site are being advised to book quickly.

People travelling to the area for the festival will be spoilt for choice for places to eat as the Michelin guide recently awarded a trio of Gloucestershire restaurants the prized accolade.
