hi tom can i ask a question. i have a 1996 vanroyce although the toilet works fine the knob that open and closes the seal flap it is very hard to turn and my wife really struggles to turn it, i have lubricated the seal with olive oil. what is causing the tightness?? when the cassette is out the knob is free and easy to turn and springs back to close position so the mechanism seems ok. the oblong knob on the cassette is very hard to turn, i have also unscrewed the seal assembly and lubricated the mechanism, can you suggest anything please Regards,

This is possibly caused by wear on the cassette itself and is not easy or desirable to repair. You may wish to consider a 'Fresh-up set' which is the cheaper way of buying a new cassette.
