Question

I am sure this has been asked a 1000 times but here it is again... I have a 2006 Adria Altea TRUMA crystal pump and the last time we were out the water pump kept running and clicked all night...I have been advised to replace the microswitches but the one in the shower room is not connected to anything - How does my water system work as it seems the microswitches are doing nothing also I cannot see a way to access the microswitch on the kitchen tap and don't want to have to remove the oven to get access underneath!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer

Your water system does not rely on microswitches to start the pump. Somewhere in the cold water pipework you will find a pressure switch which will start the pump as it senses a drop in water pressure when you open a tap. It is the pressure switch that 'clicks' and it may simply need adjusting to make it operate correctly. Some pressure switches are not adjustable and may need replacing. If you can send a picture of the pressure switch once you have located it then I can offer further instructions.
