The replacement Remis Vario 2 lifting mechanism is a fully comprehensive kit, with everything including new screws and cable support brackets. The original winder had been overtighted and the cable guide had broken allowing the rooflight to lift when driving. It was unrepairable.
The reason I offer 4 stars and not 5 is that Remis chose to include what appears to be just a photocopied set of instructions and the photographs are so poor that they are completely unhelpful. I recommend that you do what I did and take photos of the old installation before removing it - that helped. Just follow the written instructions, which are clear, plus your own photos and you should have no trouble. The whole job only took me about 1 1/2 hours and that was the first time I had ever done this job. The rooflight now works perfectly again.
Leisureshopdirect despatched the kit very quickly indeed and it was received and fitted on the vehicle the day after I ordered it - first class service!

Ordered my Remis spares from an excellent spares catalogue at Leisure Shop Direct and they arrived well ahead of schedule. I fitted the parts with relative ease. I am so pleased with the products and the service from Leisure Shop Direct and will be using them again for my motorhome spares.

Bought this product when I accidently wound the sunroof handle the wrong way. After seeking advice on various foruns and speaking to the motorhome manufacturers, I was adviced to contact leisureshop direct. We found the part on the website and it was ordered. 3 days later it arrived. Very comprihensive instructions. Fitted and repaired to as new condition.
A Great Replacement

I've just spent a couple of hours replacing the original lifting mechanism on my motorhome with this. It went in relatively easily, following the instructions given. It is an improvement on the original, with far more cable securing points, so I expect the cables not to deform as they had done.
