Cambridge and Windsor are key for family fun

Posted by Freddy Morton

Owners of devices for your camper-van will not be short of things to do on a trip to Cambridge, Eton or Windsor, it has been claimed.

Yolanda Copes-Stepney, destination PR officer for VisitEngland, said that Windsor Castle is a fantastic attraction for families as it allows children to unleash their creativity.

"Windsor Castle is a very nice place to visit. During the weekends and holidays they have re-enactments with knights and a knight school where little girls can learn to become princesses. They also have a lot of medieval feasts and demonstrations there," she explained.

Alternatively, for older families or those without children, Cambridge and Eton have a huge amount of history to explore.

Ms Copes-Stepney said that for very little money, there are a great number of ghost walks and historical walks which are educational but give visitors the chance to explore the area too.

Visit Cambridge meanwhile suggested that the University campus is well worth a look, as it juxtaposes modern design with gothic architecture.
