Comparing Aqua Kem Blue Lavender Concentrated to the original Aqua Kem Blue Lavender, several product aspects have been significantly improved. Two of the key changes are the improved liquefication for easier tank emptying and the stronger reduction of gas build-up. Thetford has also kept familiar features from the original Aqua Kem Blue such as the number of dosages and the universally loved fragrances. The odour control performance of Aqua Kem Blue Concentrated products is at the same outstanding level as the original product range. We recommend you to follow the instructions on the label of the bottles with regard to the Concentrated line. This dose is based on a waste-holding tank capacity up to 20L.

What is the best maintenance for my toilet?
Next to using a Thetford waste-holding tank additive, we recommend using Thetford Cassette Tank Cleaner 2 to 3 times a year in the waste-holding tank to thoroughly clean the waste-holding tank and remove stubborn limescale on the inside of the tank.
Next to that we recommend cleaning the inside of the bowl on a daily basis with Thetford Toilet Bowl Cleaner and a soft brush and cleaning the outside of the bowl with Thetford Bathroom Cleaner.

Thetford Aqua Kem Blue, Aqua Kem Green and Aqua Kem Blue Lavender are all waste-holding tank products.

The difference between Thetford Aqua Kem Blue and Aqua Kem Blue Lavender is the fragrance. Thetford’s Aqua Kem Blue has a pine scent and Thetford’s Aqua Kem Blue Lavender a lavender one.
The difference between the blue waste-holding tank products and the green one is the environmental aspect. Thetford Aqua Kem Green is environmentally conscious and absolutely septic tank safe. A dosage of Aqua Kem Blue lasts up to 5 days, a dosage of Aqua Kem Green lasts up to 4 days.
When do I empty the waste holding tank?
You should empty the waste-holding tank when it’s full, when you start driving with your vehicle, when you store in for a longer period and at least every 4-5 days (depending on the waste-holding tank additive you use).
How can I dose the additive?
The cap on the pour-out spout on the waste-holding tank also serves as a measuring cup. It has dosing indication with a stripe (and numbers indicating the amount) on either the in- or outside of the cap to guide you dosing the amount of additive.
You can also use the content gauge strip at the side of the bottles as indication. Or use a general (household) measuring cup for easy dosing the toilet additive to the waste-holding tank or flush-water tank.
I get black bits in my flush water, what can I do?
WHY: For a fresh and clean start and optimal performance of Aqua Rinse Plus, clean your flush-water tank before the first use by following these instructions.

WHAT NEEDED: Household bleach + bucket/watering can

HOW:
1. Prepare a solution using 100ml household bleach per 10L of flush-water tank capacity. Prepare as much solution as needed to completely fill your flush-water tank.
2. Fill the flush-water tank completely with the prepared solution.
3. Leave it in for 24 hours.
4. Drain the flush-water tank by using the drain tube or flushing system.
5. Then fill the flush-water tank completely with fresh water and leave it in for 5 minutes.
6. Drain the flush-water tank again.
7. Repeat step 5+6 to make sure no bleach is left behind.

Note:
Do not use together with other products.
Exceeding the stated dose or recommended duration could damage your Thetford toilet
Can I use domestic bleach in the toilet?
No. It can damage the toilet. We only recommend using genuine Thetford toilet additives and cleaning products.
Are these Concentrated products more hazardous than the older non concentrated products?
You are probably referring to the hazard symbols on the labels. The hazard symbols and hazard and precautionary statements on the product label are there to communicate the hazards of the undiluted product as it is in the bottle to the consumer. As with all consumer chemical products, it is always a good idea to take into account the basic safety precautions when handling household chemicals. Concentrated products contain more power in each undiluted drop, which means you may see more hazard symbols than you’re used to. However, after dilution with the recommended amount of water, the concentrated products are not hazardous anymore.

Excellent product. Breaks up the solids very well and it really does combat the foul odours and gives a pleasant lavender scent. Even when I was emptying my cassette afteAllanr 3 days I could only detect the nice lavender smell. Good price too
