Sleeping four in a dome tent with large extended porch, the Blazar 400 is a versatile design, with fibreglass poles, ideal for couples, young families and friends. The porch with detachable groundsheet enjoys a large front door plus a side door flanked by windows and rainproof air vents matched by a large vent at the tent rear. The inner tent has a D-shaped door and a handy lantern hanging point.

Hanging StorageNo A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage in your tent living area. Items of up to 1.5Kg can be conveniently hung along this beading rail, usually by a hook system.
Hydrostatic Head (mm)2000The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example.

Easy Camp Blazer 400 - Exactly What I Wanted

I was looking for a low cost, well designed, light weight, spacious (for two) tent, suitable for weekend getaways. So far so good. Service from Leisureshop Direct was fine. Pros: Great design with 'traditional' roll up front door. My experiences with 'wrap around' doors, especially on the side of tunnel tents, is that water just pours in whenever the door gets opened. With this tent I at least have a proper front door option. Easy to put up, once you've worked it out <15 mins is no problem with two people, and doable with one person if necessary. Large porch area - someone could sleep in here too. You probably really could sleep four in it. Can stand up in it (just). Has already passed it's first rainy night test. Good price. Build quality seems good for the price point, although I shan't expect it to last too many years... it's certainly not a patch on our big old Coleman family tent, but then that cost a whole heap more, even 14 years ago. Cons: Useless pegs provided - they may as well have put straightened paper clips in. Build quality - good for the price, but don't expect to get too many years out of it, especially if used regularly.
