Question

Hi, We have a 2003 Lunar Solar 524, we can get our trumatic fire to work on electric but have no idea how to work it on gas. We have tried pressing the ignition etc but nothing seems to work. We've searched everywhere in the van to see if there is maybe a valve we should turn on, but can't find anything. Also, the ignition doesn't make a noise when we press it.....should it not sound like its sparking etc? All help is greatly appreciated as we are new to caravanning.....thanks in advance.

You probably have a fire with automatic ignition. The ignition relies on an AA battery that is situated in the igniter unit which you will find at floor level and to the left of the heater when you remove the front cover.
When you depress the ignition button a microswitch is 'made' which initiates the operation of the electronic igniter. The depressing of the ignition button also introduces gas to the burner.
If after replacing the battery the fire still refuses to light then please contact us again.
