Hi, I have a Electrolux RM4401 3 way fridge fitted in my motorhome. I have two problems, 1 the fridge will not work on gas, the light just glows. 2 the ice box door will not stay shut. Your help would be appreciated.

The reason the freezer door won’t stay shut is probably the hinge bearing, these are spring loaded hinges, which when they break stop the door staying closed, on the website they are part number 116931.

The most common cause of a fridge not working on gas is a dirty burner; spiders etc tend to choose the gas burner as a good place to live. These can usually be evacuated by a good blast of compressed air around the burner area, if this does not work you will have to contact a Dometic trained engineer, one of these can be found in your area by visiting www.dometicapproved.co.uk and entering you postcode into the “find a service engineer” section
