Hi, I have a ' fith wheel company' van which has a Thetford fridge/freezer in. It works on gas but not on mains/12v. Is it the 'board' that is faulty or something else/

It will either be the board or the heating element, the 12v function on the fridge will only work when the tow vehicle engine is running and the auxiliary plug is connected. Before you replace the power board make sure you have 240v and 12v and D+ 12v at the back of the fridge. It is uncommon for one function to work if it is a power board fault, if the board fails nothing will work. If it is a LCD fridge it will tell you what the problem is through a fault code, these can be looked up in your owner’s manual to see what the problem is.

If you do have power on all setting on the back of the fridge then it could be a power board, it not it is probably the 240v heating element that has failed
