Question

Hi I have a truma ultrastore gas and electric hot water boiler/tank 10ltr today the red light came on the controller as if to say the gas has run out. So I checked the cooker in the van and all burners worked so there is gas in the bottle. The problem is gas is not going to the truma boiler. I can hear the ignition working but it will not light. Its only happened today been using without any problem for 1 month. Any idea what would cause this. I had a friend turn it on whilst I put my nose to the exterior vent and I could not smell gas, just the sound of the ignition. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

Are you using propane gas (red bottle) or butane gas (blue bottle) for your gas supply? Butane will not flow in cold weather but if you are using propane then problem is perhaps that the gas valve is not opening, and this valve is controlled by the printed circuit board. It is possibly a fault on the PCB and the first thing to check is the fuse attached to the board.
