Hi Tom Have Compass Merit 1996. fitted Carver 2GE,The flue outlet is fitted with small plug on top left corner above larger drain plug, this needs replacing but what is it's function as manual does not cover. Please advise ref No & price Thanks Harry Mallender

Hi

This is the pressure release or fast drain valve, it helps drain the heater properly. Part number 119477. If yours looks different to this then you have the old style part, you will need to replace it with this one and cut the corner off the cover so it will fit over the extended valve
