hi Tom i have just bought a Avondale Avocet caravan 1994 model but I cant get the toilet to flush can you help please

First check the fuse that you will find in the roof of the cassette chamber. If this has 'blown' then you will need to replace. The reason for the fuse 'blowing' could be a faulty water pump which may need replacing. If the pump is OK then you will need to remove the 'mechanism' that is attached to the roof of the chamber with four screws plus one screw that is accessed from the top through the centre of the flush knob. Inside the mechanism there are two microswitches that should be checked. Also check for any damage to the plastic socket that accepts the shaft of the flush knob.
I have assumed that you have the Thetford C2 toilet fitted to your caravan.
