Question

I have a European imported motorhome with 50mbar gas regulators. At some stage since it was imported the Gas fire (Truma 3002) has been replaced. The pilot burner starts OK, but if I try and turn it up past 2 it cuts out. I bench tested with a 30mBar reg, all OK. I suspect this is a 30mbar version, how can I verify this? Does the Burner Complete 50 mbar for Trumatic S3002 part number 148610 come with all the necessary jets etc to convert to 50mBar operation?

Answer

If you change the burner and jets on the fire then the whole fire has to be re-registered to comply with legal requirements. This means returning the fire to Germany for testing and fitting new data plate (again a legal requirement}
I suggest you fit a 50mbar to 30mbar second stage regulator in the gas feed to the fire. This item is our part 138120 at £46.95. Please call if you wish to order
