Question

I have a Trumatic S3002 blown air heater which is not blowing hot. All electrical indications are that everything is ok ie lit up but NO HOT AIR. Can you help ? The fan works

Answer

There are 3 separate appliances fitted to your fire, you have the S3002 fire and Trumavent fan and an Ultraheat. If you are not getting warm air on the electric side then the fault is with the Ultraheat. If the light is on but it is not getting hot on any setting then it is probably a fault with the PCB, If it works on the 500w and the 1000w but not on the 2000w or visa versa then it will be a heating element. The PCB is not that easy to replace, there are many wires that need to be exchanged from one to the other but the real problem is accessing it. It is located in a box behind the fire guard and is right at the bottom, this means that in most cases you have to remove the complete fire and back box to access it. You will need to break a gas joint and a flue joint to remove the fire so this needs to be done by a competent person, If the flue connection is ever remover you MUST fit a new flue seal and ideally have the new seal tested with a gas analyzer to insure there are no flue gasses leaking into the habitation area. I have put a link below to the Ultraheat spare parts Reich Kama Julia Link
