Question

My thetford N112 caravan fridge LCD display keeps coming on and off with a spanner icon and fault code 12. The blue light flashes on and off meaning the fridge is not working. I’ve heard through forums that thetford fridges 2007/2008 year models had faults with the pcb. Any help would be appreciated regards Sue Graham.

Fault code 12 indicates that the voltage supply to the fridge is outside the operating range of between 9.5 and 15 volts DC. The fact that the blue light flashes on and off would indicate that there is a poor connection at one of the wiring joints. You will need to check the 12 volt (nominal ) supply to the fridge and visibly check the wiring. There is also a 5 amp fuse which may need replacing. Do this before any expenditure on a circuit board.
