It is likely that the gas burner needs cleaning. A dirty burner will prevent the igniter from creating a suitable spark to light the fridge. In the meantime there will be a gas build-up at the burner and as soon as a suitable spark is created then the gas will ignite with a 'bang'. In this situation it is not uncommon for the small explosion to blow out the pilot flame
