The comet mixer tap in the bathroom is leaking. Is the only replaceable part the cartridge? To remove the tap haw do I disconnect the pipes the are connected about a foot from the tap with black plastic connectors?

Answer

The only replaceable parts are the cartridge and the microswitch (if fitted). To remove the plastic connectors you need to press the internal collar of the fitting towards the fitting itself. This can normally be done with the fingers but sometimes a small screwdriver is helpful used on its side.
