The Outwell Epsilon Bulb Set gives you three USB-powered LED bulbs on a single 4-metre cable, with 1 metre spacing between each bulb. Each bulb outputs 300 lumens and includes an integrated dimmer that adjusts brightness from 10% to 100%, so you can dial in soft background lighting for bedtime reading or full brightness when you're cooking dinner. The compact bulb shape (9.5cm high, 6cm diameter) fits easily inside most tent pockets or can hang from the built-in loop. USB power means you'll need a portable battery pack or mains USB adapter, though most campers already carry these for phones and tablets. The system works particularly well in large family tents where you need light in separate sleeping pods and the living area without running multiple individual lights.

At 190 grams for the complete set, this lighting solution packs down smaller than a tin of beans (12 x 12 x 9.5cm) and takes up minimal space in your camping box. The real flexibility comes from the daisy-chain capability - you can connect additional Epsilon sets via the USB connection to extend coverage across awnings or multiple tents at a group campsite. Each bulb draws modest power compared to halogen alternatives, stretching your battery pack further on off-grid trips. One limitation worth noting is that the 4-metre total cable length works best in tents up to about 5-6 berth size. Larger canvas tents or full awning setups might need two sets to reach all corners comfortably. The dimmer sits on each individual bulb rather than a central control, which means adjusting all three requires reaching each one separately.
