How does the Mi01 Sentry Tracker work?


The Mi01 Tracer transmits signals via GSM mobile data, RF (Radio Frequency) and GPS. Following a theft and its reporting to the tracking service, the tracer transmits a signal every hour through the GSM/GPS network, and every second via radio frequency. These signals are used to accurately trace and recover the stolen object.

The Mi01 Sentry uses GSM, GPS and even has a fallback RF Signal. Programmed to send its location once every 24 hours the Sentry is nearly impossible to detect. Users can change the location frequency via our Mi App and in the event of theft the unit will update to stream its location until its recovered.

Simplicity and user-friendly
The compact size and point for mounting on the side allow the Mi01 Tracer to be installed out of sight virtually anywhere in a car, commercial vehicle or equipment. With the built-in power caps and internal battery the tracer has no effect on the existing electronics, and this system can operate entirely standalone and wirelessly. The Mi01 tracer system is activated by rotating the unit ten times 180 degrees, which activates the battery. You use the supplied activation code to add the tracer to your personal Moving Intelligence account.

The services are immediately activated with coverage across the whole of Europe at the same rate. On the Moving Intelligence platform you manage the administrative information, the means of transport and the authorization structure yourself. For the alarm center users create the alarm contacts with the associated personal code.

As this is self-fitting, does it matter where I fit it?
Due to versality and size of the product, it can be installed anywhere in the vehicle out of sight and as hard to find as possible. We don't want to recommend where to put the product as we wouldn't want to influence where it is fitted. It will be best if it were in a different place in every motorhome/caravan that it is fitted into.

Will I require a subscription?
You will require a subscription and this is currently priced at £99 per year. When you receive the product there will be details of how to sign up for this.

Online platform & app
With the app and the online platform you can always see where your objects are, in one overview. At least once a day the tracer sends a message to our platform and the control centre; the location of the tracer is determined from this message. This location is in fact also visible in the MiApp which is available for iOS and Android.

What happens once I receive the Mi01 Sentry tracker?


STEP 1: Activate tracker
  • Important: The Mi01 Sentry system is activated by rotating the unit ten times through 180 degrees.
  • Hold the tracker in your hand with the three arrows pointing upwards
  • Rotate the tracker so the arrows point downwards then back up. Do this ten times
  • Wait 15 minutes so that the power caps can fully charge and the tracker can connect to our server

STEP 2: Create Account
  • Register yourself with Moving Intelligence
  • In the email, click on the link “Complete Registration"
  • Log into the Moving Intelligence platform - app.movingintelligence.com
  • Enter the activation code that is on the inlay in the package or that you have received by e-mail.
  • Perform the required steps
  • Complete your order
  • The Mi01 Sentry has now been activated

STEP 3: Download Moving Intelligence app
  • Download the Moving Intelligence and log in with your account. This will let you see the latest location of your tracker at any time.

Our first Moho trip into Europe prompted me to consider extra security. The thought of someone disappearing with our beloved wheelie second home is unbearable. My research was swift; this little device ticked all the boxes. Undetectable to would be thieves. It pings a GPS location daily. When/if reported stolen the device is activated by Moving Intelligence to track exact location for retrieval. Perfect solution for us. Must admit, very rocky start as struggled to activate device initially. Moving Intelligence assistance from Ben excellent.
