The freezer compartment hinge was delivered quickly and fitted perfectly. It was cheaper than the competitors and had free postage. I have used Leisureshop before and it is always my first choice. For spares.

It’s an easy job to replace the hinge, 3 screws, best to remove the ice box from the fridge cabinet. They are expensive but you can’t have a freezer without hinges on the door. Leisure 3 power fridges are expensive items so I guess the price is in line. I have replaced 2 in the last 8 years, the spring fails as it is repeatedly loaded and unloaded, finally it fails. I carry 1 spare when we go on a long trip.

Bought two Dometic freezer compartment hinges, replacements were just as originals, not quite sure if genuine Dometic or not, slightly different colour.
Thought rather expensive for what they are, but then caravan replacement parts generally seem to be in my opinion. Arrived very promptly, easy to fit.

It's possible that the freezer compartment hinges are a weakness from original manufacture of this model of Dometic fridge, however it IS over 10 years old now, so replacing a couple of hinges isn't too much fuss. Being able to purchase direct replacement parts from Leisureshopdirect ensures a perfect repair.

I bought this replacement hinge as one had broken on the freezer door. Having spent some time trawling the web, this supplier came out as the best value including postage. As with all parts caravan, the price seems high but choices are few. Very happy with the item and delivery time. It was relatively easy to fit, only requiring three screws to remove the broken part and replace with the new.

This is a genuine dometic part, delivery quickly, easy to fit. Would recommend the seller. The only negative is that the price of all dometic spares are ridiculously high. Our van is 11 years old and this is the 3rd time we have replaced a hinge. The plastic components are too flimsy. This is not the sellers fault but the manufacturers.

Easy to take off, only three screws. The whole job to about a minute to do. Needed a replacement because one of the hinges had broken and the freezer was icing up all the time. DIY job which anyone with a phillips screwdriver can do. The only thing I hate about this is the price over £18 delivered to the door.

Of course the hinge should not have failed in the first place. It was not designed to last and that is obvious when the hinge is removed; that said it has worked for five years. Replacement was easy and problem now solved. Other suppliers sell white and light grey and it was not easy to determine what colour I needed - Leisure Shop Direct only offered white which was fine and although the hinge is a greyish white anyway it matches the other one perfectly!

My wife seems to break these bits of plastic quite regularly, perhaps by forcing the door down too far in an attempt to get the door clear of the opening to enable items to be removed from of the base of the icebox.
Secure the replacement hinge to the icebox, then slide the door down over both of the hinges whilst holding them between first and second fingers against spring pressure at the appropriate angle. Working by feel alone, it can take a few attempts to get the door to slide onto the hinges.
Fitting the hinges to the door first risks damaging the first hinge to be fixed (even if left loose) whilst attempting to get the second one secured.

I'd heard of a few other Dometic suppliers but their online price for a pair of icebox hinges delivered was more than double that of Leisureshop.
It was easy to drill down to the part I wanted using the online diagrams and to order the parts, (but before you do, make sure you have the Model number and any other numbers from the data plate written down before you start).
The hinges arrived next day via first class post and were easily fitted, after removing the wire shelves to get better access to the underside of the icebox.
It's too early to give an opinion about the quality of the hinges, particularly the springs, but so far they look well made and fit for purpose.

The right hand hinge on our Dometic fridge's freezer has broken three times before (in six years) and we usually have it replaced by the dealer during our annual service. Last time they did not have it in stock so it was not replaced. Both hinges snapped off completely during the Christmas hols. Found your web site thank heavens cos as soon as you were back at work you sent them. Easy to fit so I now have a fully functional fridge/freezer. Third hinge fitted in six years. It is not robust enough and should have been made from metal. Also while I'm having a rant, who's bright idea was it to put the sight glass for the ignition flame ( the only way you know this fridge it working on gas). Where you have to open the door wide and take all the food out to see it

First one delivered had a manufacturing fault which made it unusable and required returning for replacement. Replacement is perfect and fitted in minutes. I was charged full RRP £12.50 though in carrying out this review, I notice the price is now just over £8. I shouldn't have done the review!
