The Dometic SinePower DPSI 2012 is a 2000W pure sine wave inverter that converts 12V battery power into clean 230V AC output for running high-demand appliances in motorhomes, caravans and campervans. This inverter provides enough capacity to power espresso machines, toasters, hair dryers and similar household appliances from your leisure battery, making off-grid living more comfortable. The DPSI 2012 produces genuine pure sine wave output identical to mains electricity, which protects sensitive electronic equipment and allows inductive loads like motors and compressors to operate efficiently without the buzzing noise and reduced performance you'd get from modified sine wave inverters.

Control flexibility sets this inverter apart from basic models. You can operate it through three different methods: the included remote control, the optional Dometic TD283 wall display, or via the Dometic Power app on your smartphone. This gives you real-time monitoring of power consumption and the ability to switch the inverter on or off from anywhere in your vehicle. The N-BUS and CI-BUS compatibility means it integrates seamlessly with other Dometic mobile power products and most caravan electrical systems, simplifying installation for both DIY enthusiasts and professional converters.

The low-profile housing measures just 87mm high, taking up significantly less space than comparable 2000W inverters whilst still incorporating integrated mounting brackets for straightforward installation. The DPSI 2012 draws less standby power than many competing models, helping preserve your battery charge when the inverter is on but no appliances are running. You'll need a substantial battery bank to run a 2000W inverter effectively - typically at least 200Ah of lithium or 400Ah of lead-acid capacity - and heavy-gauge cables to handle the high current draw, so factor these requirements into your installation planning before purchasing.
