  Product Description
The Outwell Flock Excellent King is a self-inflating camping airbed designed for couples who need proper back support on overnight trips. At 200cm x 150cm, it's a true king size sleeping surface, which is wider than most double airbeds you'll find in camping shops (many so-called doubles are closer to 135cm). The firm edge construction stops you rolling off during the night, and this reinforced perimeter also makes it easier to get in and out of your tent without that wobbly feeling you get with cheaper airbeds. The double-seal valve means you can inflate it manually or with a pump without air escaping backwards, which saves time at the end of a long drive.

The top is covered in soft rayon velour, so you don't get that cold, clammy plastic feeling against your skin like you would with a basic PVC airbed. The base is tough PVC, which stands up well to tent groundsheets and won't puncture easily on uneven pitches. It weighs 5kg and packs down to 29cm x 35cm x 14cm, so you'll need to factor that into your boot space alongside your tent and camping chairs. With a 340kg load capacity, it's strong enough for two adults and a restless child who climbs in at 3am.

One consideration is the 30cm height, which feels luxurious compared to sleeping on a thin foam mat, but it does mean more air volume to inflate. Most people use an electric pump for the initial inflation, then top it up manually to get the firmness right. The included carrybag is reinforced at the corners, so it actually lasts rather than splitting after a few trips like some freebie bags do.
