The Outwell Dreamcatcher Double Self-Inflating Mat brings proper camping comfort without the bulk. At 5cm thick with an R-value of 3.8, this double-width mat provides genuine three-season insulation for two people. The horizontal support zone cut-outs are clever - they reduce the packed weight to 3.8kg and compress down to 65 x 22cm, but you still get stable support across the full 195 x 120cm sleeping surface. The double Flat High-Flow valve speeds up inflation and deflation noticeably compared to single-valve designs, which matters when you're setting up camp in fading light or packing away in the morning.

The 190T 75D polyester peach fabric on top feels soft and stays quiet when you move around at night. No rustling that wakes your partner or keeps you listening to every shift. Static sidewalls prevent the rolling-together issue you get with some double mats - both sleepers maintain their space throughout the night. The mat self-inflates to about 80-90% capacity, then needs a few breaths to firm it up to your preferred comfort level. Being PFAS-free means no concerning chemicals in the materials.

This works well for couples camping in spring through autumn, or for families who need a comfortable base for two children. The R-value of 3.8 provides adequate insulation for temperatures down to around 0°C when paired with appropriate sleeping bags. Pack size is decent for a double mat but still takes up reasonable boot space - you'll want to account for 65cm of length in your storage planning. The included carry bag protects the mat during transport and storage. Compatible with standard double sleeping bags and fits comfortably in most family tents with 2-3 person capacity or larger.
