A good heavy-duty connecting lead with 2.5mm sq. cores which is probably over-kill in summer when you don't have the heating on but pays dividends in cold weather when the heating is on and the kettle too. Certainly our TV never flickers when those heavy loads kick in. Money well spent in my opinion.

I have seen the same length caravan mains lead cheaper, but not of this quality. The item is heavier than some others but this appears to be because of the cable quality. Insulation and plug connections appear very good. I have not connected the lead to a caravan as yet, but it tests very well.

Good quality cable and plugs, and very heavy duty. I was a bit worried that they would send me inferior 1.5 mm cable, as a couple of other reviewers reported this. But this cable is clearly 2.5 mm and is marked as such. Hence - a great price for cable of this quality.

Excellent cable. We used it for the first time last weekend with no problems. I've got qualifications in Electrical Engineering and can confirm that this has been made to a high spec. I bought the Mains Cable Carry Bag from Pennine at the same time and it fits in it comfortably with more than enough space for the 16 AMP to 2x 16 AMP Arcitc Blue 240V Splitter also.

Bought to run from my generator to caravan when not on official sites. We spend a lot of time at dog shows and need a supply of electric power for our all electric caravan. This is lighter to carry around than the normal 25 metre cable as well so a great buy and at an Amazon price which is as good as, if not better than many other suppliers.

Ordered item but received 1.5mm2 cable. Am asking for refund. Ordered from another supplier and received the Crusader 2.5mm2 cable as described. It has Crusader labels on the connectors and attached to cable referencing part no J250. So that is the item I am reviewing.This cable is exactly as described and appears to be well made.The connectors are easy to inspect internally (2 screws) and all connections were made correctly and securely. The cable is thick approx 1cm in diameter as it should be and embossed with 3G2.5mm2 along its length. Most of the negative reviews appear to be because reviewer hasn't received the advertised item in which case the negative review should be against the retailer not the product.

Good quality connectors and heavy quality cable. The outer sheath specifies 1.5 sq. mm. as opposed to the advertised 2.5. Flexible cable of 1.5 sq. mm. cross-section has a rated capacity of 16 Amps - OK for the standard caravan hook up, though voltage drop will be a bit higher than 2.5 sq. mm. This houldn't be a problem and, in fact, the copper strands do appear to be more than 1.5 sq. mm. Very confusing, but the cable is obviously fit for purpose.

10 meters sounded a lot when I bought this. The campsite I 1st went to, had electric points spaced quite far apart. I had to move my van after it was set up as this didn't reach. This is not the fault of the product, will be buying a 25 meter one to complement this one.
When we went on day trips, I left the plug on the floor. The cover snaps shut and it was still dry inside when I got back after a heavy downpour.

Well, what is there to say - does it come any more necessary! The first time we went caravanning my husband asked what on earth we were doing with all that excess cable - it was what I was advised to buy! On the second pitch we had about ten metres spare - and swapped cables with someone else who had been silly enough not to bring a 25metre cable! Get a 25 metre cable - it may be too long a lot of the time, but it will also prevent you be powerless on other occasions!

Running a caravan site we use quite a number of hookup leads and extension cables -- and see a great many more. This one is first-class and an excellent one to go for. Proper 2.5mm cable, so can carry the full 16 amps with no voltage drop -- much better than the 1.5mm cables which are much more common but only barely adequate on full load. Strong mechanically and well worth the slight difference in price as compared to lesser cables. Supplier and specification has been noted for future use and to recommend to our customers.

Took a while to get round to using this as we also carry a shorter cable which is good enough in most circumstances. Having now deployed it for the first time, my only complaint is a generic one - it's very heavy and takes ages to rewind after use. (And to dry, if wet.) For the purpose of conveying electricity from A to B, however, it's perfectly adequate!

The seems a very good quality cable - it is heavy but not too heavy for me. Used extensively in Europe on a recent trip and worked fine. It still remained flexible for coiling although the weather was quite warm so I'll update this again after a run in cooler weather.. Good value and good delivery from the partner I used.
Just used on an extensive motorhome run and very pleased with this cable. It isn't particularly light but it is good quality - very satisfied.

I didn't think this could be 25m when it first arrived, as the box was so light, but it is and works fine, despite being lighter (and therefore easier to deal with). Very pleased!

This is printed with the CE approval which other cheaper cables do not mention. I think this is important. It works well with my caravan but when I used it with a mains extension from the house supply it was a very tight fit in the socket. This may have been the extension part at fault though.

Did what it said 'on the tin'. It is an electric cable with a plug at each end and it was the length described. It worked fine.

This was the only hook up lead I could find which said that it complied with the regulations for the conductor size.

The one we bought first was too short for some sites so this is the "big brother" - arrived on time and in good condition, so far pleased with the purchase - delivery was a pain as delivered by Yodel who needed a signature, still just rang to set up a redelivery date so all ended well

A standard item, which arrived well packed and on time. No problems. Used with a tent, it does require an attachment to take off a supply at the terminal end.
