Whale Heat Air 5GTE 5kW Underfloor Space Heater (Gas + Electric) adds electric power to the mix, offering flexibility whether you’re on hook-up or parked off-grid. With a combined 5kW output, this version gives strong, consistent heat to medium and larger vans, without needing any internal heater casing.

It’s suitable for year-round touring. Use electric when plugged in at a campsite to save gas, or switch to gas heating when you’re off-grid. It’s efficient, quiet and fully modulating, so you get exactly the output you need.

The 5GTE offers the best of both worlds—running on gas or electric depending on what’s available. This dual-fuel design is well suited to users who want to camp off-grid but also benefit from hook-up facilities when on sites. With a 5kW combined output, it’s powerful enough to heat mid-sized campervans and motorhomes efficiently, even in colder months.

Mounted under the vehicle, the 5GTE removes the need for visible heaters inside. This opens up living space and gives you more freedom to fit longer beds, full wardrobes or extra storage. Heat is evenly distributed through floor-level ducting, so there are no cold spots or noisy blowers to disturb your comfort.

Switch to electric mode when you're on-site to save gas. With Whale’s highest electric power rating to date (3kW electric within the 5kW total), you can rely on it to keep you warm without switching over to gas. Built-in modulation adjusts output based on temperature needs, so you won’t waste energy heating when it’s not needed.
