Now on to our third, the plastic is brittle and the frame it clips to is prone to shattering on removing the cowl. In addition they can flip off in strong wind even when properly clipped on I presume because the ridge the cowl clips over at the bottom fail. Truma you need to improve the design - water heater works well though.

I ordered the wrong one first, but sent it back with no problem and my money was refunded. I then ordered the correct one which is a perfect fit. It arrived speedily and I would rate the whole expereince as excellent

I broke the cover and the grill underneath by clipping the edge on a peage booth in France. The <2006 cover was replaced by what appears to be an improved 2006 onwards version with 2 clips on top, and a release tab to pull from the bottom.
Before accidentally breaking this, we had been frustrated by the fiddly nature of the release on the earlier (single clip on top, break your finger nails getting it off version), which like all of the similarly now ageing covers we have seen on other vans, was cracked on top by the clip. The new cover and matching grill fit onto the original base plate, so that this becomes a simple and effective upgrade.
